Universidad César Vallejo ranks in the Top 3 best private universities in the country, according to CPI

The start of university life is perhaps one of the most anticipated stages for young Peruvians, and choosing a private university in the country is one of the most important decisions for them, as it defines the future of their professional lives. 

In this context of returning to in-person learning and facing various educational trends, the Peruvian Company for Market and Public Opinion Studies (CPI), one of the most prestigious market research agencies and pioneers in our country, conducted a study to determine which are the best educational institutions in the national territory. 

Here, we share the list of the best universities in the country, according to CPI:

• Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP): 8.4%

• Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC): 2.5%

• César Vallejo University (UCV): 2.3%

• University of Lima (ULIMA): 2.3%

• Technological University of Peru (UTP): 2.2%

• University of the Pacific (UP): 1.9%

• University of Piura (UDEP): 1.2%

The survey gathered the opinions and perceptions of citizens regarding Peruvian educational institutions. UCV, which has 12 campuses nationwide, ranks above private institutions such as the University of the Pacific (UP), the University of Piura (UDEP), and the Private University Antenor Orrego (UPAO).

In recent years, UCV has been dedicated to improving the quality of education and its service to the community. Among the most important attributes it offers are high academic standards, renowned faculty, affordable prices, opportunities for internationalization, strategic location, job placement, infrastructure, technology, and social and environmental responsibility. César Vallejo University has also received recognition from major global institutions in the past couple of years. 

For example, the SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR) 2022 placed it among the best universities in Peru due to its commitment to research and the preparation of highly skilled professionals. Finally, the specialized magazine Times Higher Education (THE), based in London, included it in the top ten Peruvian universities based on rigorous criteria of research productivity.
