Past, present and future of audiovisual translation. Practice: Each student will do a study of dubbing and subtitling comparing with the VO.

Subtitling protocols : Netflix Guide; Amazon Prime Video and Warner. Practices: Each student will subtitle 10 minutes of an animated and humorous series applying Netflix and Amazon Prime protocols.

Subtitling software. (Subtitle Edit). Basic use of this free software. Practice: Reverse translation (Spanish to English) of 10 minutes of program using Subtitle Edit.

Dubbing protocols: Voice-over Practice: Each student will translate 10 minutes of a documentary and an animated series.

Professional translator since 1993, graduated in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada, Spain. He has worked on more than one hundred subtitling projects (including The Simpsons, Modern Family, Bones, Star Trek) and more than a thousand dubbing productions (Dragon Ball, The Hoobs, Captain Planet). He was Coordinator in Spain of SDI Media Group, a world leader in subtitling. In addition, he has taught audiovisual translation courses at prestigious universities in Spain, France, the United Kingdom and Morocco.
