
Doctorate in Psychology 
The Doctorate in Psychology of the UCV is aimed at professionals with a master's degree in psychology or related areas, who wish to generate rigorous and contextualized scientific knowledge. Our program enhances your research, clinical and pedagogical skills with an ethical, social and contemporary vision, providing solutions to the psychosocial problems of the country and the region.

Demonstrates competence to perform outstandingly in psychology research, integrating advanced design, execution and research analysis skills, as well as the critical ability to evaluate scientific literature. In addition, it implies the ability to contribute substantially to the advancement of knowledge in specific areas of psychology.
Effectively integrates psychological theory with clinical practice, evidencing both theoretical and practical skills to evaluate, diagnose and treat psychological problems. It also demonstrates the ability to apply evidence-based therapeutic approaches and adapt flexibly to individual client needs
Demonstrates competence to act as a competent educator and supervisor in both academic and clinical environments, evidencing the development of effective pedagogical skills, the ability to design and evaluate training programs, as well as the ability to supervise and guide students in clinical practices and research.
According to university regulations, the student must prove the mastery of two foreign languages, one of which can be replaced by his native language. In that sense, you must speak properly, understand what you read, understand the messages you hear and communicate properly in writing.

Study hours:
The synchronous activities of the master's degree are carried out through videoconferences on Wednesdays, Thursdays and/or Fridays from 7:00 p.m., while the extracurricular counseling sessions are held on Saturdays, between 8:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., or from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
