Specialization Course in the Theory of Attachment Centered on the Elderly

This course is designed to provide professionals from various specialties related to mental health, key information for an affective and warm intervention with older adult patients, promoting the development of fundamental empathy skills. Throughout the course, the importance of attachment patterns in emotional regulation and their implications in the life of the elderly will be addressed. Participants will learn to recognize and understand the needs of older adults from an integrative and relational approach.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

Update participants on the different stages and characteristics of attachment theory so that they can recognize, attend and understand the needs during the intervention of older patients.

Methodology
The course will be developed in virtual mode, through the Trilce and Blackboard platforms. Teaching resources such as reading materials, explanatory videos, practical cases, advice, application exercises, discussion forums, among others, will be used.

Certification
The Directorate of Continuing Education delivers two types of certificates issued by the César Vallejo University.
- Approval, when the participant obtains a rating of 14 to more.
- Attendance, when 80% attend class sessions or obtain a grade of less than 14.
